As you know, I love coming up with fun treats for my kids. I whipped together this Berry Banana Smoothie Recipe with my son, Levi the other day. I love getting the boys involved in creating new recipes, so they will learn to eat healthy and understand what ingredients go into what they eat.
I also love to incorporate coconut milk for it’s health benefits, and it adds such creaminess for smoothies, it is my go-to milk for this kind of recipe. Then of course I want to always make sweet treats that don’t have refined sugars to keep the kids feeling good.
After creating this recipe, Levi wanted me to tell you that it is the Best Ever Berry Smoothie Recipe! My kids are my taste testers and worst critics, so if they don’t approve then I keep tweaking recipes till I get a thumbs up! This berry banana smoothie was a big hit with the entire family, and you’re going to love it!
So easy, fresh and naturally sweetened!
Berry Banana Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients You Will Need:
- 1 sliced frozen banana
- 4 large frozen strawberries
- Handful of frozen blueberries
- 1/2 C of canned coconut milk
- 3-4 TBSP of Water
- Raw honey to sweeten
- This makes enough for a small glass smoothie but can easily be doubled or tripled for more people.
- **If you would like to substitute another kind of milk such as almond or regular milk, omit the water since they are thinner than coconut milk.
How To Make Berry Banana Smoothie Recipe:
Add fruit and coconut milk to blender and whip on high. You will have a very thick smoothie, too thick to drink. To thin down a bit, add tablespoons of water one at a time as needed to get the smoothie to the consistency you prefer. Drizzle in some honey as needed for sweetness.
Blend up one last time.
Serve and Enjoy!
